Hubert Coffee is a startup roaster with one goal: to educate customers on the entire coffee experience in an approachable way.
The identity and branding were designed to put a friendly face on the coffee culture, which can often feel like an exclusive club.
The desktop and mobile sites were created to be straightforward spots where customers could educate themselves on different beans, purchase coffee, and learn a little about the company without feeling overwhelmed. Transparency in the coffee experience threaded through the overall site. One example was the addition of a live indicator of what was being brewed at their retail location, which could be easily updated in the store.
Packaging and retail labels were created with bright colors and patterns that had less to do with distant, unattainable locations, and more with having fun with the coffee buying experience.
